Ingredients
These sliced potatoes in the air fryer have-
- Thinly sliced potatoes. Russet potatoes work the best.
- Olive oil. Helps the seasonings stick to the potato and helps with adding crispiness without having to use spray olive oil.
- Spices. Garlic powder and parsley for seasoning.
How to cook crispy potatoes in the air fryer step-by-step
First, clean the potatoes. Slice them thinly using a knife or vegetable slicer.
The next step is very important. In a bowl add cool water and place the sliced potatoes into it. Let them sit in the water for 30 minutes.
Why do you want to soak potato slices in
This gets the potato starch from the potatoes and keeps them from getting soggy and sticking together. You want maximum crispiness so make sure to do this step.
After the potatoes have been soaked, drain the water, then using a paper towel dry off the potatoes.
To the uncooked potatoes, add olive oil and seasonings. Stir to coat the potatoes evenly.
Place the potatoes into the basket of the air fryer. Set the air fryer to 380 degrees and set it for 25 minutes. Push ‘start.
Check the potatoes after 10 minutes and using a small set of tongs, flip the potatoes around. Slide the basket back in then perform the same action every 5 minutes for another 15 minutes.

Oh my goodness! I definitely need to try these. I’m buying an air fryer this weekend and I’ve got to try this recipe ASAP!

Awesome! Air fryers are the best investment, at least in my opinion. Hope you love yours too.

I have been on a potato kick recently, but don’t have an air fryer. I have seen so many recipes recently though for the air fryer, maybe I should take that as a sign lol

I LOVE my air fryer! I use it several days a week so for me, it was a great investment.

I got an Airfryer for Christmas and I probably use it 2x every day. Everything from reheating pancakes to air frying burgers (juicy and perfect!!) and fries.
Have also done roasts in there.
If you bake, reduce heat 10 degrees and time by 10-15 minutes.

The air fryer really has been a kitchen game changer! Thank you for the backing tip, Sandy.
