  • 1 small yellow onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 small loaves of French Bread sliced in half lengthwise
  • 16 ounces cottage cheese
  • 1 medium egg beaten
  • 12 ounces pasta sauce
  • 2 cup mozzarella cheese shredded

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • On a baking sheet lay down some parchment paper. Place the cut bread on top.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the cottage cheese and beaten egg together. Place the mixture into the wells of the bread spreading evenly over all the pieces of bread.
  • Spread the ground beef mixture on the top of the cottage cheese evenly over the 4 slices of bread.
  • Sprinkle each piece with the shredded cheese on top.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.

Tips for making Lasagna French Bread:
  • Removing some of the bread in the center makes a shallow area for adding the cottage cheese fillings. Makes it so much easier to eat!
  • Brush some melted butter and garlic on the bread to give it a 'garlic bread' feel.
