Shrimp Hoagies with Spicy Mayo

Ingredients for a shrimp sandwich

12 ounces frozen ready to eat salad shrimp thawed 1 cup flour 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 12 ounces lager beer 1 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce 6 sub buns split down the center 1 cup shredded lettuce 1 Roma tomato diced 1/2 cup dill pickle slices

Prep Time 10 minutes

Cook Time 16 minutes


Thaw the shrimp


I use frozen, cooked cocktail shrimp for this recipe.

Make the batter


Add the ingredients and whisk in your favorite beer.

Fry the shrimp


Toss in flour then dip in the batter. Fry until golden brown.

Assemble the sandwich


Make the mayonnaise mixture and spread on top of the split buns.



Top with the shrimp, lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes. Enjoy!
