Equipment

  • griddle pan
  • spatula

Ingredients

  • 4 slices cinnamon swirl bread
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 Tbs strawberry preserves
  • 10 slices black forest ham I used thinly sliced ham
  • 2 slices swiss cheese
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  • In a bowl add an egg and milk. Whip the liquid to combine.
  • Dip the bread into the egg mixture and coat both sides using a fork.
  • To a griddle pan add a 2 tsp olive oil and heat pan to medium/high heat.
  • Place the bread onto the pan and cook the first side 4 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook another 2 minutes.
  • Remove the bread from the pan. On the same pan split the ham into two areas (one for each sandwich) and then top with cheese. Turn the heat back up on the skillet and let cook for 2 minutes or until cheese has melted.
  • Cook the 2 eggs to your liking.
  • Assemble the sandwich by spreading the strawberry preserves on the bottom piece, add the ham and cheese, then place the egg on top.
  • Spread some additional strawberry preserves on the top piece and place on top. Enjoy!
