Broccoli Puff

Steamed broccoli, baking mix, and cheese make this broccoli puff one-of-a-kind side. It's perfect for holidays or any night of the week.

Ingredients

  • 1 10-ounce packages frozen steamable broccoli
  • 1 cup Bisquick baking mix
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese I use Colby jack but you can use any kind you like.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Steam the broccoli according to package directions.
    1 10-ounce packages frozen steamable broccoli
  • In a bowl mix together the Bisquick baking mix, milk, eggs, salt, pepper, and cheese.
    1 cup Bisquick baking mix, 1 cup whole milk, 2 eggs, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1 cup shredded cheese
  • Add the steamed broccoli to the batter.
  • Grease a casserole dish. Place the batter into the casserole dish.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean when poked into the center. Enjoy!

Notes

Tips for making this recipe:

  • I like to use steamable bags of broccoli, but you can use fresh broccoli for this and steam it on the stovetop or microwave.
  • To store: add a covered container. Eat within  3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
