Notes

Tips for making this recipe:

  • I have a basket-style air fryer and used it to make this sandwich. If you have a different type of air fryer/toaster oven you may want to check your manual for further directions on temperature and timing.
  • While I use roasted red peppers that have already been cut into strips, feel free to use whole jarred or homemade roasted red peppers in place of the strips.
  • Use only the best type of bread for this recipe. A ciabatta, rye, or marble rye would be great. Don't use white sandwich bread as it won't hold up as well in the air fryer.
  • To store: This is a one-person sandwich recipe that's perfect for lunch. Store any sandwich leftovers in the refrigerator so that you can make this recipe again!
