Salsa Bread

If you do not have a food processor, you can substitute the fresh salsa for 1/2 cup of jarred salsa.

Tips for this savory quick bread recipe:

1/2 cup petite diced tomatoes with green chilies drained

Ingredients

2 garlic cloves skinned

1/2 tsp cumin

1 Tbs sliced jalapenos you can use fresh or jarred

1 Tbs red onion

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 eggs, large

1 Tbs sugar

1-3/4 cup flour

1-1/4 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

Salsa bread is a quick bread recipe full of spicy jalapenos, green chilies, and tomato goodness of the salsa you love.

In a food processor, add the drained tomato & green chilies, jalapenos, garlic, cumin, and red onion. Pulse until it has a slightly soupy consistency.

Add sour cream, vegetable oil, ad egg to the salsa mixture. Prepare a bread loaf pan with oil, then add dough to the pan.

Place the pan into a preheated 350 degree oven and bake for 40-45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean in the middle.

Let the bread cool for 10 minutes, then slice and eat.
