Ground Beef Pizza Bread

Tips for using French bread for making pizza bread:

Brush some melted butter and garlic on the bread to give it a ‘garlic bread’ feel.

Ingredients for  French bread pizzas:

1 pound ground beef cooked and drained of grease 1 small yellow onion chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced 2 small loaves of French Bread sliced in half lengthwise 16 ounces cottage cheese 1 medium egg beaten 12 ounces pasta sauce 2 cup mozzarella cheese shredded

Ground Beef Pizza Bread

This ground beef pizza bread has layers of lasagna filling in the center, then baked until the cheese is melted on top. Makes for an easy family-friendly dinner or appetizer for parties.

Put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Cut the French bread and scoop out bread from the center.

Brown ground beef and onions. Drain the grease then add the spaghetti sauce to the pan.

In a bowl, mix together the cottage cheese and egg.

Preheat the oven to  375 degrees. Add the cottage cheese mixture into the wells of the bread.

Spread the ground beef mixture on the top of the cottage cheese mixture.

Sprinkle each piece with the shredded cheese on top.

Place in the preheated oven and bake for  20 minutes.  Cut & serve.
