Sugar Cookie and Apple Cobbler
What type of apple is best to use in desserts?
Gala apples are my favorite type of apple to bake since they tend to hold a bit of their crispness even after baking.
Ingredients for cookie apple cobbler
6 medium sized apples 1/2 tsp vanilla 2 Tbs lemon juice 2 Tbs all purpose flour 1 cup lightly packed brown sugar 16.5 ounces roll of premade sugar cookie dough 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 2 Tbs sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Sugar Cookie & Apple Cobbler
This sugar cookie and apple cobbler has a warm filling and a cookie crust. It is the ultimate fall dessert.

Chop the apples for the filling

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Chop the apples & add to a bowl with the other filling ingredients.

Slice the sugar cookie dough

Open the cookie dough and cut it into 18 slices.

Add cookie slices on top of filling

Place the slices over the top of the apple filling.

Add the rest of the cookies on top

Cover the top with all of the cookie slices.

Mix the topping together

In a bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon

Put into the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes. Serve warm.
