Air Fryer Empanadas

Let the ground beef cool completely before filling the pie crust circles. If it's too hot, the pie crust will not seal properly.

Tips for empanadas with pie crust:


1 pounds ground beef I used 80/20 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp chili powders 1/4 tsp cumin 2 9-inch pie crusts 1/2 cup shredded cheddar jack cheese 1 Tbs flour chunky salsa for serving sour cream for serving vegetable oil spray

These air fryer beef empanadas with pie crust are an easy appetizer or main meal that everyone will love.

Brown the beef. When halfway cooked, add the seasoning. Drain and let cool completely.

Remove one of the pie crusts from the refrigerator to start cutting out the circles.

On a piece of wax paper, add some flour & roll the pie crust out. Use a glass to cut out 7-8 circles.

Add the cooled ground beef onto one half of the pie crust circle.

Add the shredded cheese.

Seal by pinching the edges and then folding them over.

Crimp the folded edge with a fork.

Spray the air fryer basket with spray oil. Add the empanadas to basket. Spray with more oil, set for 350 degrees for 8 minutes.

With a fork, gently flip each one. Spray with more oil and fry for 1 more minute.

Continue until they are all made, should take 3-4 times. Keep the cooked ones warm in the oven.
