Why We Choose The Disney Dining Plan

This week we booked our Disney World Vacation. While it is 6 months away, is never too early to start planning this trip.   Plus, this trip is a BIG ONE. Not only will we be celebrating Little A’s 3rd Birthday we will also be there during Thanksgiving.

Now, I have been to Disney World over 20 times and only once have I gone during the holidays. So needless to say, I am STOKED.

Disney World Dining Plan

The last time we went to Disney World in 2013 we got a great deal on the Dining Plan. It was a wonderful experience and decided that if we went again we would for sure get this option. When we started looking to book our trip this time we found that we could get the Dining Plan for FREE!!!! With our non-discounted 5 day/6 night package with a Disney Resort Room, Disney All-Star Sports to be exact, the Quick Dining Meal Plan was FREE! Again…let me say that…FREE!! Free Food & a wonderful hotel, now that’s a win in my book.  See how much Big A loved it the last time we went?

Disney World All-Star Sports

We figured this out to be a $600 value for our family of 3 (I do not include Little A since he is Free. He will still be under 3 while we are at the park. It’s ok to Celebrate a little early! It’s Disney, break the rules.)

But I’ll be completely honest.  I do love saving money and even though that is a great deal-it’s the value of the whole Dining Package that appeals to us as a family. The value is:

  • Of course….Save Money. When we went last time, we hardly came out of pocket for any extra food. I think we ended up getting a pizza from the cafeteria once.
  • Selection. With the Quick Service plan we ate at Be Our Guest several times. So don’t think that you are stuck at small kiosks or burger counters.
  • LOTS of Food.   I had a purse full of Mickey shaped Rice Krispy treats for the plane because we couldn’t eat all the snacks that were allotted to us.
  • No worries.  It’s a great thing not to have to worry about having XXX amount of money set aside for food.  The cost is taken care of up front, or in our case it’s on them, so we don’t have to worry about budgeting for this extra expense every day that we are at the park.

If you’re planning a Disney World trip soon, check out their Feast on a Delicious Offer – It’s FREE! to see if it’s an option your family will love as much as ours does.
